Dakota Johnson has tried a great deal of various forms of
roles ever since her gig with the Fifty Shades franchise concluded when Fifty

Shades of Grey’s Christian Grey ever again. (Although it should be noted he was
simply saying he wouldn’t take a role quite so notorious ever again.)
Sometimes, when major actors appear in a notable
franchise, they are at the risk of being typecast, but as Dakota Johnson’s
recent roles reveal, there doesn’t seem to be a ton of danger of that for the
actress. In fact, the actress also mentioned in her interview with The Wrap
that “big naked franchises” aren’t actually a dime a dozen and haven’t been
coming her way in the time since.
For now, though, you can catch her in The Peanut Butter
Falcon, in theaters now, or wait until 2020, when her next romantic drama
Covers hits theaters. That romance will place Dakota Johnson’s character in the
music industry.
